Message From The Chief
Shaker Pines Fire Department will be continuing their traditional Santa run with modifications! Shaker Pines Santa run is a tradition that Shaker Pines Fire Department has held for their community (District 5 Enfield CT) for over 60 Years. To meet the Connecticut Covid-19 guidelines Shaker Pines Fire Department must modify their Santa Run. They will not be collecting food for the Enfield food shelf. Please bring any non-perishable food donations to 34 Cottage Rd Enfield CT 06082 between 10 am and 12pm. Shaker Pines will not be selling their annual raffle tickets door to door on the Santa run. If you would like to buy a raffle ticket, please visit the department Facebook page, website SPFD.net or call the fire station for more info 860-749-8522. All the money from ticket sales goes to the Shaker Pines Fire Association.
If you would like to donate to the Association, please use the Venmo app and search Shakerpines-fd.
Unfortunately, the Santa run will be parade style this year and there will be no stopping.
Santa Run parade will begin Dec 4, 2020 @ 6:00pm in the Crescent lake area and ending with Shady Oak and Davis Dr.
Dec 5, 2020 @ 5:00pm starting with Cozy/The laurels, the remainder of the Shaker Pines Fire District. The Santa run will end at Shaker Pines Lake this year.
Be on the lookout for fire engines and Santa in The Shaker Pines Fire District 5 Enfield CT 06082.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in an effort to limit exposure not only to personnel, but to public as well, the Shaker Pines Fire Department is both suspending all car seat installations, as well as closing it's doors to the public, except for emergency. If you arrive at the station and need to see personnel, please call us at 860 749-8552 and someone will step out to see you. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience in this trying time.
